Pendulum Dowsing With Charisse Van Horn

Pendulum dowsing is an ancient form of communicating with higher powers based on vibrational frequencies. There are several ways to dowse and different tools are used. As a psychic medium, I use crystal pendulums to connect with my higher self, my spirit guides, and spirits of those who’ve crossed the veil. Pendulums are simple to use and are one of the first divination tools many master as they are easy to learn.

They work best with simple ‘yes’ and ‘no’ questions and answers and you can use them with pendulum mats or altar cloths. Some use pendulums with ouija boards and instead of asking simple ‘yes’ and ‘no’ questions, the pendulum points to letters and numbers and spells out words. This can be a time-consuming process and those who use pendulum dowsing in this manner must be prepared to have a clear space with positive energy so they may focus. Because the process is a bit more in-depth, many people prefer to use pendulums without a mat and by asking simple questions so they may get responses quickly.

Though crystal pendulums are often used for spirit communication (whether with your higher self (subconscious), spirit guides, or departed spirits, dowsing may also be used to detect elements, obtain information from herbs and plants, and as a channel for crystal healing.

Dowsing can be used to find lost items, and it isn’t uncommon for someone to set their intention in their mind by focusing on a missing item and then using ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions and answers to retrieve the lost items. For example, someone may ask, ‘Are my keys in the living room?’ and then wait for either a yes or no response.

This technique is used by those who dowse for lost, missing, or endangered children and adults, and many psychic mediums who are involved in true-crime cases may use pendulum dowsing to obtain information regarding the perpetrator, location of the crime, and victim.

I have multiple pendulums and have used necklaces, even a crucifix, but this is my favorite pendulum.
